Family Film: Arrietty

In a hidden world beneath the floorboards, tiny people called Borrowers live out of sight of people. But when brave Arrietty (voiced by Saoirse Ronan) is out gathering supplies, she is spotted by a human boy (Tom Holland), and they begin a friendship that blossoms into a heartwarming adventure. Can he – will he – keep their secret?

Studio Ghibli’s sumptuously animated story is adapted from Mary Norton’s beloved children’s book The Borrowers, directed by Oscar nominee Hiromasa Yonebayashi (When Marnie Was There) and based on a screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki (My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away).
