In 2023, the world was shocked by Hamas’ brutal October 7th attacks in Israel. Within months, it recoiled at the unsparing Israeli response. While investigating specific factors that have shaped Israeli public discourse around the horrific war in Gaza, BAFTA-winning filmmaker Gillian Mosely (in follow-up to her previous film The Tinderbox) also takes a broader look at how moral disengagement and the disintegration of democratic norms have enabled atrocities across the world.
